Thus shall you punish wrongdoers.
So that all who hear of your actions shall tremble and cease to do evil.
You must show no pity: Life shall pay for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot. (Deuteronomy 19:19-21)

What would you do if someone hurt the one you love?

Roy Cruise and his wife Susie are still grieving the tragic loss of their daughter when they are approached by another couple with a bizarre proposal: “Take law into your own hands. Help us get revenge. Kill our daughter’s rapist.” The police would never guess a random couple from another state were involved. The Cruises are baffled, but compelling dark secrets begin to surface, resulting in devastating consequences.

“This Gillian Flynn meets John Grisham crime thriller will have fans begging for the next book.” —Smith Publicity

Screen Shot 2019-05-27 at 9.17.49 PMEye for Eye starts like a spooky campfire story, then as the plot thickens it reads like a crime novel. Filled with revengeful characters, the plot is unique and stirring with a spice of romance. The detective procedures are accurate and imagery is vivid throughout. I would recommend this book to any crime-novel fanatics (Father’s Day is right around the corner, people!) With that said, the formatting of the actual book was off (which could be because it was an advanced copy); there is an unnecessary abundance of white space throughout the book. Honestly, while I found the story entertaining, it could have done with 100 less pages. Those who are not avid readers may lose interest before reaching the end, but I will tell you now, KEEP READING! The ending is jaw dropping and well worth the shock factor.
