7:30 am: Up & at em
Just kidding…. SNOOOOZE
8:30 am: need…..coffee……
9:30 am: Sitting at work, not working.
Realizing that I’ve been up for two hours and have successfully done nothing except eat a yogurt. I really need to get my sh*t together. Another cup of coffee should help, maybe two.
12:00 pm: LUNCH TIME!
Got some work done. Time for a break. I work downtown and have a trillion tempting lunch options close by. It’s awesome, but not for my bank account. Today’s choice was a breakfast sandwich. I could eat breakfast foods all day. With time to spare, I took a short walk to visit my favorite bookstore: Sheafe Street Books.
CHECK OUT THESE GEMS THAT I FOUND!
1962 publication of Tender is the Night by F. Scott Fitzgerald
1963 publication of Jim Baker’s Bluejay Yarn by Mark Twain
The day is officially dragging…. I’m sorry for this uneventful day – I figured I would give you a glimpse of my typical weekday.
5:00 pm: Work Day is Done
Wooohooo! Time to go home. My commute is only 10 minutes, I couldn’t be luckier. Perhaps I’ll even stop to buy some pumpkins on my way home. Tis the season!
5:30 pm: Home Sweet Home
I have to get some “adulting” done before I kick back and relax… a little dishes and ironing and I’ll be set to kick back with a cold glass of wine, a warm meal & a good book.
Side note: my biggest grief in life is the fact that I DO NOT HAVE A DISHWASHER! It will be my #1 must-have when we buy a home. Such a nuisance.
7:00 pm: Dinner Time
A common occurrence here at our house: rice, beans & veggies. It’s easy, inexpensive, healthy & meat-free!
8:30 pm: Kick Back & Relax
I’m reading Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. It grabbed my interest immediately. I can’t wait to keep reading. Have you read Little Fires Everywhere? What did you think? I’d love to know! If not, what are you currently reading? 🙂
10:30 pm: Goodnight!
